Situated 20 km from the city of Prague, Golf Karlstejn was opened in 1993. The project originates from two Canadian golf architects, Les Furber and Jim Eremko, designers of famous “Valderrama” in Spain. In 1997, it hosted the first European PGA event in the former Eastern European block. At Karlstejn, a very unique place was created, thanks to a careful, sensitive approach of integrating a golf course into a picturesque countryside, direct into the romantic scenery of the castle Karlstejn (a must visit place), dating back to 1348 to the reign of king Karel IV. With hilly landscape containing limestone rocks, ravines, couple of lakes, rich fauna and flora, the golf course is an oasis of calmness and peace that will gratify the most demanding players.
